Le Keishia Dawkins, a native Texan, was raised and attended school in Arlington, TX. She attended undergraduate at Texas Southern University where she graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Health Education. Currently, she is pursuing her Master’s in information technology: Cloud and Networking Infrastructure Management, graduating in June 2022.
Le Keishia has been employed by The State of Texas since 2007 and working for The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) since 2008. While working for TDCJ, she has served the majority of her career as a Parole Officer, working with high-risk offenders of major and violent crimes. After serving in the Parole Office, she has also served as a program supervisor in the Clemency Department and most recently as the North Texas Regional Victim Services Coordinator in the Victim Services Department.
In the community, Le Keishia has spent time volunteering in multiple capacities as a member of the North Texas Business and Professional Women's League. In addition, she is a servant leader in her local church, Cornerstone Baptist Church in Arlington, TX. She serves as a small group leader, and the children's praise dance leader. In the past, she also served as a Girl Scout Troop Leader in Mansfield.
Le Keishia is the PROUD mother of one. Her young adult daughter Shekinah graduated in 2019 and is currently enrolled as an undergraduate student with hopes to become a nurse.
Le Keishia enjoys working with technology and web design with plans to work full time in Cloud Infrastructure upon completing her Master’s Degree.
